Walllace High School teacher Gillian McGarry recently won the Northern Ireland Teaching Award for Enterprise. Miss McGarry, Head of English, was nominated for the Award by Year 12 student Jonathan Scott.
Ten year 13 pupils from Wallace High School recently participated in the European Youth Parliament competition Final organised by the European Commission Office in Northern Ireland. This is the second year that the school has participated in the competition which encourages young people to become engaged with the work of the European Parliament and Commission.

“Celebrating Success” was the theme as The Wallace High School hosted their first ever Junior Prize Ceremony on Wednesday night. The event, sponsored by the hard working PTA, was a tremendous occasion as the large crowd enjoyed celebrating the curricular and extra curricular successes of pupils currently in Years 9 – 11.
Students who have recently received GCSE, AS and A’ Level results are to be congratulated. The success of students in this school is a reflection of the hard work, dedication and maturity of the students and the expertise, effort and enthusiasm of the teaching and support staff.
