The Wallace High School recently held an internet safety evening for parents of both its Prep Department and Grammar school. The innovative event was organised by the school’s ICT coordinator David Cleland and was well supported by parents who were keen to learn more about the ever changing technological world in which we live. Upper Sixth pupils in The Wallace High School staged two very successful productions of “Christmas Pie” at the end of term to raise money for a school in southern Sudan. Christmas Pie is a long standing Wallace tradition – having been performed by Sixth years for over thirty years.
Each performance, lasting over one hour, had been scripted and choreographed by the pupils as the result of several weeks of extra curricular effort. Read the rest of this entry »
Wallace High School Upper Sixth pupils last week had the opportunity to take part in mock interviews, organised by the Careers Department. Over forty people from various professions including Medicine, Business and Law conducted the thirty minute interviews before providing the pupils with detailed feedback.

Wallace High School Year 11 pupils last week gained an in depth insight into the retail world, taking part in an innovative workshop with staff from Greens of Lisburn. The teenagers have been exploring the business world as part of their Employability classes and were delighted to welcome Greens staff Daryl Flanagan and Gillian McKinstry to the Clonevin Park School. Wallace High School students celebrated European Day of Languages this week with arrange of innovative events. European cuisine played a major role in the celebrations with Year 8 pupils enjoying a French breakfast in the school’s canteen and Year 9 designing display menus.
