The Wallace High School Parent Teacher Association last week hosted its annual Christmas supper dance with almost three hundred parents, teachers and friends of the school gathering to celebrate the start of the festive season.
During the drinks reception guests were entertained by harpist Richard Allen from Year 11, before enjoying dinner which was supplied by “The Mad Hatter”. Guests also enjoyed a raffle and tombola and the evening concluded with dancing to “The Usual Suspects”. Read the rest of this entry »
The Wallace High School Parent Teacher Association held its annual Treasure Hunt, BBQ and Disco recently, with over 170 staff, parents and friends of the school coming together to enjoy a relaxing end to another busy academic year. The hotly contested Treasure Hunt, which had been devised by the Head of the Prep Department Ron Hall, was won by the Stewart- Wilson team. 
Wallace Prep pupils recently enjoyed a Summer Disco organised by the PTA’s Gillian McGarry and Ron Hall. DJs for the evening were Upper Sixth pupils Keith Lunn and Marc Jamison, with support also coming from Year 12 pupils David McMullan and Sarah Watters. 
The Wallace High School Parent Teacher Association held its first ever May Ball last weekend, raising funds not only for the Clonevin Park School but also for the PTA’s chosen charity, Childline NI. The glittering gala, held in Belfast’s Europa Hotel, kicked off in style with a drinks reception, sponsored by Diageo, in the Europa’s Library Bar. 
Gillian McGarry, Mandy Harrison and Jim Ward from the Parent Teacher Association this week welcomed Marian McCann from Childline NI to Wallace. Mandy was presented with £5000 for the charity which offers a free telephone helpline to young people.
