Hockey Irish Representatives

Three Wallace High School Hockey players last week represented Ireland at Under 16 level in Manchester. They played three games against their English counterparts at the Bellevue Hockey complex which is the venue for the senior men’s European championships later this year.

The Year 11 pupils, Peter Macdonnell, Stephen Hunter and Richard Arneill, were key performers for Ireland who emerged as 2-1 series champions. Indeed, Peter scored two goals in the final match which clinched the three match series.
