Wallace High School students received their eagerly awaited GCSE and A level results this month. The Principal, Mrs McBride commented “We are delighted with our A level results this year and would congratulate all our pupils on their achievements.
Of the grades achieved at A2 level 90% were A, B or C whilst at AS level 86% of grades were A, B or C. It is very pleasing to see that 9 pupils achieved 4 A grades at A level and 19 achieved 3 A grades.
The results of our senior pupils reflect personal achievement of a high order and all credit is due not only to their commitment and hard work, but also the dedication of their teachers.”
David McMullan takes up his place to read Physics at Jesus College Oxford and Michael Nicholson to read Law at Christ’s College Cambridge. We wish all our pupils well as they embark on this next important stage in their education.”
At GCSE the school saw similar success with another pleasing set of GCSE results. Mrs McBride commented “The staff and I are delighted that hard work and commitment have produced another very pleasing set of GCSE results with 56% of grades at A* or A. We congratulate all our pupils on their success and commend many of them for achieving a personal best in these examinations.
