Year 10 Somme Centre Trip

Written by | News

As part of the revised curriculum, the entirety of Year 10 pupils at Wallace high School went on an educational visit to the Somme Centre. Pupils have been studying the causes of World War One and exploring what life was like in the trenches. Pupils undertook a weapons talk and display, they learnt about the role of the people of Ulster during the war and finally took a tour through the mock trench system. This was a great educational trip which brought the reality and horrors of World War One to life. The school would like to thank the guides from the Somme Centre who were excellent.
