Wallace High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 and 12 students in this year’s GCSE examinations. Their results reflect not only academic excellence but also the commitment and resilience shown by our young people throughout their studies. We also recognise the dedication of our staff, whose guidance and encouragement have supported our students every step of the way.

GCSE Results

The GCSE examinations represent a significant milestone in every student’s educational journey, marking the culmination of two years of hard work and determination. This year, our pupils have excelled across a wide range of subjects, with a remarkable number securing multiple top grades. Such success highlights the breadth of opportunity available at Wallace High School and demonstrates the value of a broad, well-rounded education.

Over 1,780 GCSE qualifications were completed, with many students achieving an impressive total of 11 GCSEs. More than half of all grades awarded were A*–A, and over 30 students achieved 10 or more A*–A grades. Nearly 98% of all grades were at A*–C. These excellent results span a wide range of subjects, reflecting the breadth of choice that allows our students to pursue their individual areas of interest.

Celebrating GCSE Success
Commenting on the Year 12 GCSE results, Head of Year Dr Liam Halferty stated: ‘I am incredibly proud of all our Year 12 pupils for the hard work, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their GCSE journey. Today is a day to celebrate achievement, but it is also a reminder that examination results are only one part of who you are. Whether your grades have opened the door to your first choice or you are exploring new and different pathways, there are always opportunities ahead. Success is not defined by a single set of results but by the character, effort and ambition you carry with you into the future. I look forward to continuing the journey into Sixth Form with this year group and I wish those following pathways beyond Wallace the best of luck.’

The Principal, Jennifer Reid, commented: “Congratulations to all of our Year 12 students on their achievements. We are very proud of their hard work and commitment, which has led to well-earned success today.”

We are confident this year group will continue to follow the example of our A-level students, who achieved excellent results last week. More information about their success can be found via the link below.
