GCSE and A Level Art & Design Exhibition and Moving Image Arts Showcase 2026

Back in June, our Art & Design and Moving Image Arts Departments were proud to host the 2026 GCSE and A Level Art & Design Exhibition and Moving Image Arts Showcase. Due to examination regulations, we were unable to share this incredible work on social media at the time. We are now delighted to celebrate and showcase the outstanding creativity, talent and dedication demonstrated by our students.

Art and Design

The exhibition highlighted an impressive range of artistic styles, techniques and creative approaches, reflecting the breadth of talent within our school community. From detailed drawings, paintings and mixed media pieces to innovative design work and thought-provoking visual projects, visitors were treated to a remarkable display of artistic achievement.

Moving Image Arts

Alongside the exhibition, the Moving Image Arts Showcase featured a collection of captivating films which demonstrated not only creativity and imagination, but also the technical skills and storytelling abilities developed throughout the course. Each production reflected the hard work, perseverance and passion of our young filmmakers.

Reflections

The standard of work on display was exceptionally high and served as a testament to the commitment of our students and the guidance and support provided by their teachers. Every piece told a unique story and offered an insight into the individual interests, experiences and inspirations of its creator.

Reflecting on her first Art Exhibition as the Head of Art and Design, Mrs McFerran commented:

“Seeing our students’ work showcased and celebrated by the whole school community was incredibly inspiring. The showcase was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the creativity, dedication and talent of our young artists, and it was fantastic to share this with families, staff and friends. As this was my first year as Head of Art, it felt like the perfect way to end the year, reflecting on how much our students have grown and how much we have achieved together.”

We are incredibly proud of all our GCSE and A Level Art & Design and Moving Image Arts students. Their work exemplifies the creativity, innovation and dedication that continue to thrive within our school, and we congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.
