The Wallace High School Senior Prefect Team 2026-2027

We are delighted to introduce our Senior Prefect Team for the 2026-2027 academic year. This outstanding group of young people has made a significant contribution to school life through academic achievement, leadership, sport, music, service and extracurricular involvement. As role models for our school community, they will help support pupils, represent the student voice and contribute to the continued success of Wallace High School throughout the year ahead.

Lauryn, Head Girl

A former pupil of Killowen Primary School, Lauryn is studying Spanish, History and Music at A Level. A talented all-rounder, she is a valued member of the Girls’ 1st XI Hockey Team and is heavily involved in the school’s thriving musical life through various choirs and ensembles. Lauryn hopes to study Law with Spanish at Queen’s University, combining her passion for languages with her strong academic interests. One of her most treasured Wallace memories is travelling to Paris with Capella Choir, an experience that allowed her to combine her love of music with international travel and friendship.

Heidi, Deputy Head Girl

Heidi, who previously attended Meadow Bridge Primary School, is studying Biology, Chemistry and Physical Education. Throughout her time at Wallace, she has been a key member of the Girls’ 1st XI Hockey Team, while also competing in athletics, participating in SU, serving as a Year 8 pastoral mentor and representing Seymour-Hamilton House. Heidi plans to study Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast. Her highlight at Wallace was travelling on the Girls’ Hockey Tour to Valencia, where she enjoyed competing abroad alongside teammates and creating lasting memories with friends.

Sophie, Deputy Head Girl

Sophie joined Wallace from Killowen Primary School and studies Biology, Chemistry and Religious Studies. She has represented the school in both netball and cricket and continues to make a positive contribution through her work on the Wellness Committee and Period Dignity Committee. Sophie hopes to continue her studies at Queen’s University before pursuing a career in education as a secondary school teacher. A standout memory from her time at Wallace was the Year 11 trip to Paris, particularly the opportunity to visit famous landmarks and enjoy an unforgettable day at Disneyland with friends.

Lucy, Deputy Head Girl

A former pupil of Harmony Hill Primary School, Lucy studies Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and German. She was involved in hockey throughout her early years at Wallace and has embraced a challenging academic programme during Sixth Form. Lucy hopes to study Chemistry at Queen’s University Belfast and pursue a future in scientific research or industry. One of her favourite Wallace experiences was taking part in the Year 11 Paris Trip, which provided memorable cultural experiences and opportunities to explore one of Europe’s most celebrated cities.

Imogen, Deputy Head Girl

Imogen joined Wallace from Meadow Bridge Primary School and studies Health and Social Care, Food and Nutrition, and Software Development. She has made an excellent contribution to school life through the Girls’ 1st XI Hockey Team, the Girls’ 1st XI Cricket Team and the Period Dignity Group. Imogen hopes to study Food Science or Sports Nutrition at university. Her standout Wallace moment came when the Girls’ 1st XI Hockey Team won the Shield, a remarkable achievement that capped off the season in style and created memories she will cherish for years to come.

Kyle, Head Boy

Kyle joined Wallace from Dromore Central Primary School and studies Biology, Mathematics and Physics, alongside AS Music. His involvement in school life has been exceptional, spanning the choir, band, jazz group, guitar club, hockey, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme and the Sixth Form Forum. Kyle aspires to study Biomedical Science, Natural Science or Teaching at university. Reflecting on his time at Wallace, he highlights the wide range of opportunities available, particularly through music and sport, as well as the supportive environment that has enabled him to develop confidence, character and a strong sense of belonging within the school community.

Ben, Deputy Head Boy

Ben attended Downshire Primary School and is currently studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. A dedicated sportsman, he has represented Wallace through rugby and has also been involved in the Oxbridge Club. Ben hopes to pursue Engineering at university, building on his strong aptitude for STEM subjects. Among his many Wallace memories, representing the school in the Schools’ Cup with the 1st XV stands out as a highlight, demonstrating his commitment, teamwork and school pride.

James, Deputy Head Boy

A former pupil of Downshire Primary School, James studies Mathematics, Geography and Business Studies. An accomplished athlete, he contributes to both the 1st XV Rugby Team and the 1st XI Cricket Team. Looking ahead, James hopes to study Finance at university. One of his most memorable Wallace experiences was the rugby tour to Portugal, where he enjoyed both the sporting challenges and the opportunity to strengthen friendships with teammates.

Mason, Deputy Head Boy

Originally from Sandbank Primary School in Scotland, Mason studies Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. A passionate hockey player, he has represented Wallace hockey for six years and currently plays for the Boys’ 2nd XI. He is also heavily involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, serving as a Young Leader while working towards his Gold Award. Following school, Mason hopes to pursue a degree apprenticeship with BAE Systems or study Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture at university. Among his many Wallace memories, the camaraderie of the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition and the excitement of House Hockey stand out as particular highlights.

Joseph, Deputy Head Boy

Joseph attended Harmony Hill Primary School and studies Biology, Chemistry and Spanish. Throughout his time at Wallace, he has been a committed member of both the hockey and cricket teams, representing the school with distinction. Looking to the future, Joseph hopes to study either Optometry or Physiotherapy at university. One of his proudest moments was being part of the Boys’ 1st XI Hockey Team’s All-Ireland Schools campaign, which culminated in an unforgettable experience competing in Limerick.

Senior Prefect Team 2026-2027

As members of the Senior Prefect Team, these pupil leaders will play an important role in supporting the life and work of Wallace High School throughout the coming year. Alongside representing the student body, they will help welcome visitors, support school events, mentor younger pupils, encourage participation in school life and work closely with staff to promote the values and ethos of the school. We congratulate each member on their appointment and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make during the 2026-2027 academic year.
