Wallace High School is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent A-Level and AS Level results, reflecting the determination, resilience, and ambition of our senior students. These results are the product of years of hard work, dedication, and the close partnership between students, staff, and families. They exemplify Wallace High School’s ethos of Commitment, Opportunity, Respect, and Excellence — values that have guided our students throughout their school careers and will continue to shape their futures.

A-Level
For our Year 14 pupils, today marks the culmination of seven years of learning, growth, and development. We are delighted that twenty-one pupils achieved three or more A* to A grades in their A-Level examinations, with over a third of all grades awarded at A or A*.

The success of this year’s results is not solely measured in grades but also in the personal growth, resilience, and determination of each student. Their achievements are a testament to their ability to work hard, set goals, and rise to challenges.
Many have secured places at prestigious universities across the UK and beyond, while others are preparing to begin apprenticeships, professional training programmes, or embark on other exciting opportunities. Some students have also been awarded prestigious scholarships. Among them is Nicholas Falconer, who will be studying Music at Queen’s University Belfast as the recipient of the Celia Gourley Scholarship.

Reflecting on her seven years at Wallace, Head Girl Ceoladh, who will be studying Chemistry at Durham this September, expressed her pride and gratitude for her time at the school:
“Over the past seven years, Wallace has been more than just a school – it’s been a family. The friendships, the opportunities, and the constant encouragement from staff have shaped me into the person I am today. I’m proud to be leaving with not only strong results but memories I’ll treasure forever.”
Head Boy Daniel, who will be joining Ceoladh at Queen’s to study Mathematics and Computer Science, also shared his excitement for the future and his appreciation for the preparation Wallace has given him for the next stage of his education:
“I’m excited to take the next step and begin my university journey. Wallace has given me the academic knowledge, resilience, and confidence to embrace the challenges ahead. I’m grateful for the support I’ve had at every stage.”
As our A-Level students prepare to embark on a wide range of courses and career paths – from medicine and engineering to law, business, game design, computing, mathematics, and the arts – we are confident they will bring the same energy and commitment to their future endeavours as they have shown during their time at school.
AS Results
For our AS Level students, the year ahead promises fresh challenges and opportunities to further develop their skills, knowledge, and leadership. Our Year 13 students have laid strong academic foundations for the final stage of their post-primary journey, demonstrating focus and commitment that will serve them well in the year ahead.

Nineteen students achieved three or more A grades in their AS examinations, with many taking four subjects in Year 13. It will be an exciting and busy year for the Class of 2026, and as a school community we look forward to supporting them in their final year.
Reflections
Wallace High School congratulates all students on their achievements and thanks the staff, families, and wider school community who have supported them. As we celebrate these results, we look forward with optimism to the contributions our leavers will make in the years ahead, knowing they carry with them not only academic success but also the values and spirit of Wallace.
Commenting on this year’s results, Principal Mrs Jennifer Reid stated:
“I am delighted to congratulate our students on an excellent set of A-Level results, with 92% of all grades awarded at A*–C and over half of our students attaining at least one A* or A grade. These achievements reflect not only academic excellence but also the hard work and determination of our young people, alongside the commitment and dedication of our staff and the support of families.
Of course, education is more than examination results and, as a school community, we are proud of our young people, their development of character, and their achievements in every aspect of school life.
I want to take this opportunity to wish our leavers well as they embark on life beyond school. For those returning from AS Levels, we look forward to building on your success in your final year.”
