Esperance Book Club

Written by | News

Mrs Weir and Mrs Dumigan have decided to launch a virtual Book Club over the next few months so we can read together and share opinions.

Don’t worry…you don’t have to study English Literature, History or Politics to take part  – we’ve chosen a selection of books which should appeal to lots of people. A lot of the books have TV/film adaptations which will prompt some discussions too. The books should be freely available from the Libraries NI app. There are also audio books available so you can listen when you are out for a walk in the fresh air!

The Club will run on a two week basis. There’ll be opportunities to hear suggestions for further reading and even watch some of the films and do some creative or critical work. Our first book is “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood…after Easter we’ll be reading “The Tattooist of Auschwitz” by Heather Morris.
Many thanks to student Melissa Dunn for creating our logo.
