Welcome to Primary 1

The Wallace High School Preparatory Department proudly welcomed their new Primary One class. The children have been looking forward to starting school and excitement mounted during the summer.

The transition was particularly smooth this September as eleven pupils out of a class of 13 transferred from our Pre-Prep facility.  We were also delighted to welcome some new families into our school community.

Currently Primary One are enjoying investigating the topic ‘Our Colourful World’.  Taking part in a video recording of the ‘Little Red Hen’ using the video booth app on the class iPad added a fun dimension to the project.

This week the boys began to take part in extra curricular rugby coaching. You’re never too young to start!  Mr Paddy Harrower has a terrific rapport with the children and they are looking forward with enthusiasm to their next session.

‘Sign to Music’ is another part of the P.1 curriculum and the children are most excited at the prospect of learning basic sign language.

Everyone at Wallace Preparatory Department is looking forward to getting to know our youngest pupils and helping them integrate into our school.
