Cantabile at Stormont

Written by | News

Cantabile, the chamber choir from The Wallace High School were recently invited to sing at the PTA NI Gold Awards, held at Stormont.  Whilst there, they sung two contrasting pieces; ‘The Gaelic Blessing’ by J Rutter and a modern piece ‘Great is He’ by Stuart Townend.

Wendy Davison, Cantabile Director was very proud of their efforts at Stormont and throughout the year and commented, “I feel that everyone gained from the experience both vocally and in terms of confidence. I am extremely proud of all members of Cantabile and would like to thank all pupils for their hard work and dedication over the past academic
year.  I would also like to sincerely thank Miss Kelly Stewart for her assistance and Mr Steven Alexander for accompanying Cantabile, as well as all of his efforts, advice and support since September.”

All involved with Cantabile are eagerly anticipating the Junior Concert and BBQ, on Thursday 21st June, which promises to be a great evening at which they will present some exciting new material!
