15505.jpgThe Wallace High School First XI had mixed fortunes over the last week.
On Friday, Regent House visited Walalce in The McCullough Cup. Wallace amassed a formidable 162 for 5 in 25 overs.

Jonathan Crockett led the way with 39 and was backed up with a quickfire 35 for Gary Crowe. Skipper Richard McConkey (19) and David Graham (15) were the other main contributors. Wallace however lost their way in the field, particularly in the bowling department with David Graham 5 – 0 – 25 -1 the only bowler of note. This was a great chase from last year’s Schools’ Cup winners with Peter Irwin 80 NO, showing what can be acheived through occupation of the crease.

On Saturday morning Wallace travelled to Belfast High and came away with a 5 wicket victory. Belfast HS batted first scoring 73 for 4 in 20 overs. Again David Graham was the pick of the bowling with 2 for 11 whilst McConkey had 1 for 6 in 5 overs. Gary Crowe (21) and David Graham (19) eased Wallace to victory.
