Three pupils, Jamie Humphries, Catherine Poots and Matthew Arneill , were each awarded an impressive 9 A* grades.

A2 and AS results were issued to Wallace’s Sixth year students last week.

Principal Mrs McBride commented, “We are delighted with our A Level results this year and would congratulate all our pupils on their achievements.

Of the grades achieved at A2 level 58% were A or B whilst at AS level 65% of grades were A or B. It is also impressive that 21 Upper Sixth and 34 Lower Sixth pupils were awarded straight A’s in their overall results. There is of course a danger in highlighting the top grades and overlooking the success of the many pupils whose results reflect personal achievement – it is always encouraging to see that hard work brings its rewards.

All credit is due to the commitment of our young people and of course the dedication of their teachers.”

Upper Sixth students also received Year Books and “Class of 2005” shirts which had been organised by Form Staff and the Sixth Form Committee.
