First Trust banks on creativity

3303.gifFirst Trust Manager Gary McMurray and Student Officer Janet Walsh visited the school’s recent Open Morning Display , in this the third year of the annual First Trust Art Competition. Six Wallace High School pupils were recently rewarded for their creativity following presentations from the First Trust Bank.The Lisburn bank officials had the difficult task of selecting the six pieces of work, three from the junior school and three from the senior school, which they felt best reflected the diversity of talent and vast range of media used in the flourishing department.

The winners were –

Junior School:
First – Emma Boyes -Form one
Second – Scott Murphy – Form Two
Third – Alex Greenfield – Form One

Senior School:
First – Sarah Toland -Form Five
Second – Laura Bittle – Lower Sixth
Third – Zara Humphries – Form Four

Wallace is delighted by the bank’s continued support of the Arts in Wallace High. Along with A+ B ( Arts and Business), the First Trust Bank was a sponsor of the school’s very successful Creative Events Week “Creativity is Catching” which was held last autumn.

Head of Art and Design Mrs Linda McClelland commented, “We are very grateful not only for the financial support given by First Trust but also for the great interest and enthusiasm demonstrated by Gary McMurray and his staff.
