Congratulations to the Year 11 team from Wallace High School who won 3rd place in the Stock market Challenge held at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown on Thursday 3rd March. The Stock Market Challenge is supported by DENI, AXA, Citi, HML, Santander, NYSE and FSSC.

The team had an exciting day buying and selling shares and Euros on the Stock Exchange. The Competition hall was set out to resemble the Stock Exchange floor and the simulation ran for a trading week. The team was involved in making decisions under pressure and taking calculated risks to make as much money in the week as possible.

By the end of the week’s simulated trading the pupils had a Portfolio valued at £62,600.

The second team from Wallace was placed a respectable 10th with a Portfolio value of £50,500.
