Volunteer at Two High Profile International Events

Written by | News

Laurence, a Year 12 pupil at The Wallace High School enjoyed a busy summer volunteering at two high profile international events, the Boccia World Cup, a form of bowls which acted as a qualification tournament for the London 2012 Paralympic Games and also the British Transplant Games.

He got involved through “Volunteer Now”, a student volunteering company based in Northern Ireland and enjoyed the experiences immensely: “I found both experiences very rewarding and would encourage other pupils in local schools to get involved through Volunteer Now. It was brilliant to meet new people, both competitors and other volunteers and to contribute to both highly successful events.”
