Fifteen students from The Wallace High School were invited to make a movie along with five other schools and youth groups across Northern Ireland by Co-operantion Ireland and Cinemagic on our shared History.
The purpose behind the movie was to begin to look at a series of major historical events on the island of Ireland which are reaching their centenary anniversaries. These events which include the Ulster Covenant on which the movie is based are very important to the various communities within Northern Ireland.
The fifteen pupils who study History and Moving Image Arts attended a series of workshops by Cinemagic. Having then written the script the students went on to organise costumes, props and makeup, as well as direct, act in and film the movie over the last three days of the summer term.
