Wallace Teacher Cycles Vietnam

Wallace High School teacher Jackie Kinahan swapped the cold weather in Lisburn recently for a once in a lifetime cycling trip in Vietnam.

Jackie, a teacher in Wallace for 10 years, raised over £4000 for the MS Society by cycling 650 kms during an eight day trek, reaching her highest point of 2000 metres during a 26km climb. She has been cycling for three years and can often be seen entering the school car park on her bike throughout the school year.

She was understandably delighted with her achievement and especially the money raised for her nominated charity: “This really was a life changing experience and made me realise what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. I would like to thank the Wallace school community for their sponsorship and encouragement and especially Grace Bill and the Charity Committee.”
