Walllace High School teacher Gillian McGarry recently won the Northern Ireland Teaching Award for Enterprise. Miss McGarry, Head of English, was nominated for the Award by Year 12 student Jonathan Scott.
The Awards ceremony took place in The Waterfront hall, where Miss McGarry was supported by friends, colleagues and family.
She commented, “I was delighted to be nominated and it was a wonderful day at the Waterfront – a true celebration of teaching across the province. I am very fortunate to work in Wallace – our young people, staff and parents make it a rewarding place. I’m now looking forward to the Teaching Awards weekend in London in October.”
